Inclusion and digitization are two of the major social tasks of our time. Research and teaching on both topics is carried out at TU Dortmund University. Both topics are also being worked on in their interconnectedness. For example, there are already a number of projects dealing with how digitality and digital media can support the accessibility of education in diverse, heterogeneous groups.

In this focus topic, these projects are to be networked and made visible, and new, joint projects are to be developed. Furthermore, within the framework of this thematic focus, there is the possibility of examining whether projects that have so far only dealt with inclusion or only with digitization are also compatible with the respective other topic.

In order to network the existing projects, make them visible and develop them further, a joint conference and joint publications (conference proceedings, book edition, joint thematic booklet) are planned.
