Dr. Corey Savage from the University of Glasgow is a renowned expert on political socialization in the school context and will be a guest at the IFS. Dr. Savage's research includes the effects of educational reforms, programs and practices on the outcomes of civic education. For example, he analyses the extent to which students have access to civic learning opportunities and which factors play a role in this. His particular focus is on education systems in the USA and Germany.
During his two-week guest stay at TU Dortmund University, Dr. Savage will discuss current research projects and opportunities for cooperation with IFS staff. In addition, he will provide insights into his work as a member of the Advisory Committee of the International Civic and Citizenship Education Study (ICCS 2027) and as a member of the Academic Advisory Group of the U.K. All-Party Parliamentary Group on Political Literacy.
We thank Dr. Savage for the enriching exchange and look forward to staying in touch!
