Digitalization and Professionalization in Networks – Concepts and Findings from Leadership-Oriented School Development Programs in the Ruhr Metropolis

In the context of digital transformation, a key educational task is to develop effective teaching and learning designs that prepare young people for responsible and informed participation in a digitalized society. In the article “Digitalization and Professionalization in Networks – Examples from the Ruhr Metropolis,” Silvia-Iris Beutel, Martin Goy, Christiane Ruberg, and Falko Schumpich present findings and areas for development from accompanying research on two professional development programs. These programs focus on strengthening leadership and management skills related to digitalization, as well as promoting agility and sustainable network building.
