IADS is represented in the newly published anthology on alternative forms of examination for teaching and a contemporary examination culture with a contribution by Prof. Dr. Silvia-Iris Beutel on the links between democratic education, participation and a new examination culture.

Changes in learning culture, digitalization and pedagogical reflection have led to a critique of the traditional examination culture. Many examinations are questionable from a pedagogical and didactic perspective because students cannot work in the examination setting in the way they normally do when learning. This book shows constructive and argumentative ways to counter this criticism with a contemporary practice that can be implemented in schools. How can pupils perform today and receive helpful feedback from teachers? What do schools and teachers need to consider if they want to facilitate alternative forms of assessment and introduce an assessment culture that focuses on learning and feedback?
