On June 23, 2022, the Dortmund Symposium of Empirical Educational Research will take place for the seventh time. The digital conference is dedicated to the topic “Evaluation of the education system: What insights do current large-scale assessments provide?”. We welcome Professor Ludger Wößmann from the ifo Center for the Economics of Education, who will give the keynote address from the perspective of the economics of education. The keynote will be commented on by Professor Andreas Frey from the perspective of psychology, Professor Corinna Kleinert from the perspective of sociology, and Professor Knut Neumann from the perspective of subject didactics. We are also looking forward to Professor Nele McElvany presenting the International Primary School Reading Survey 2021 (IGLU) and Professor Doris Lewalter outlining what requirements LSA will have to meet in the future in order to make the results scientifically useful. Finally, Professor Michael Becker and Dr. Dirk Hastedt will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of cross-sectional and longitudinal LSA.
We are looking forward to an exciting conference and the exchange with you. Registration is open.
